Užgavėnės (Shrove Tuesday)
One of the most entertaining days in Vilnius, marking the end of winter. All day long, the streets are alive with people in masks and costumes, who burn down Morė in the evening - the symbol of winter and lifeless nature. A festive atmosphere in the city is created by numerous shows of Vilnius folklore ensembles.
