Season of Light Festival
The Season of Light in 2010 will illuminate Senate Square and Parlia¬ment House. Famous Designer Mikki Kunttu has created light instal¬lations that will reveal these familiar Helsinki landmarks in a new and surprising light. The Season of Light is an annual open-air event.

Baltic Sea Action Summit
The Baltic Sea is the most polluted sea in the world. In November 2007, the countries bordering the sea adopted a road map (the Baltic Sea Action Plan by HELCOM) which identifies the actions needed to restore the status of the Baltic Sea. The Baltic Sea Action Summit will offer a platform for heads of states, companies, business leaders, NGOs and individual citizens to contribute to the carrying out of these actions.

Helsinki City Marathon
The second largest marathon event in Scandinavia. Over 6,000 runners from 46 nationalities participated in 2009. The Marathon race will start at 3 pm outside the Toolo's Sports Hall and the Olympic Stadium.

Helsinki Festival & Night of the Arts
Finland's biggest arts festival presenting a wide scale of different arts, music, theatre, dance, modern circus and visual culture just to mention a few. The largest one-off urban event is the traditional Night of the Arts on 27 August. Art belongs to everyone!

U2 Concert
U2's 360° Tour represents the gigantic round stage in the Olympic Stadium. Last time U2 performed in Finland in 1997. Now the long absence will be compensated by two mind blowing concerts!
