Palanga Smelt 2010
During the feast Palanga smells of fresh cucumbers. It is because I of the small silvery fish from the salmon family. The participants can savour smoked, dried smelts and take part in variuos attractions on J. Basanavicius street.

Resort's feast "Palanga 2010"
The traditional event in Palanga that marks the beginning of summer tourism season was firstly organized in 1972, when Palanga became the official summer capital. There are lots of concerts, entertainments on the streets, sports contests, a traditional handcrafts fair "Kermosius", concerts of Palanga brass band. Finnaly, fireworks at midnight on the pier.

Brass Music Concerts Cycle

"Trumpets Summer"

For more than one hundred years there is a tradition in Palanga - brass music concerts in the park during the summer season. Each summer Thursday, Friday and Saturday since 18.30 the resort and all the brass music fans may listen to classical, popular and original brass music concerts in the Palanga Botanic park.

Fishermen's holiday
Various competitions in the Fishing Port: boats, water-bicycles relays, making a sailor's knot, catching fish with hands. During the holiday fish soup is cooked, fishermen are greeted, there will be a concert, a folk-style party by a fire, the port will be lighted up with ireworks.
