Tartu Marathon is the biggest cross-country running marathon in the Baltic States with thousands of participants attending every year. The tracks go mostly through forest roads, so participants can enjoy the nature as well. Enthusiasts can choose between the 23 and 10 km tracks, both of which can be covered by running or by Nordic Walking.

BY BUS: Each day more than 40 express buses make the 2.5-hour trip from Tallinn's Central Bus Station. www.bussireisid.ee
BY CAR: Driving from Tallinn is fairly simple. Head out of town along Tartu mnt. and pass the airport (on your left), then just drive along the same road all the way down to Tartu.
BY PLANE: There are international flights arriving at Tartu airport, departing from Helsinki. www.tartu-airport.ee
BY TRAIN: Trains to Tartu are scarce, with only five of them leaving from Tallinn every day. A ride takes about two hours.
