Our Hobby - Guitar

A guitar workshop will take place in Wismar from July 2^nd to July 8^th 2001. 18 guitarists will compose an orchestra and create a program with works from past centuries and the varieties of rock, pop, and blues.

The orchestra will play a concert in Wismar and participate in the second state-wide Mecklenburg-West Pommerania Music School Day in Bad Doberan. The participants will be 18 young people between 15-18 years from different cities. Aside from morning orchestra and tuning rehearsals, a professor from the University for Music and Theatre from Rostock will give instruction for the solo repertoire. The afternoon and evenings will belong to getting to know the immediate area around Wismar, meeting with Wismar's music students and excursions to the state capital of Wismar's music students.

The project is sponsored by the city of Wismar. The overnight stays, breakfast and dinner are organised and provided by parents. If you are interested please contact us !
