COMMISSION ON SPORT ANNUAL MEETING
The Annual Meeting of the Com. on Sport
was held on 7th April in Sopot.
In the meeting participated 20 representatives
of 13 cities from 7 countries: Denmark, Finland, Germany,
Latvia, Lithuania, Sweden and Poland.
This
year the meeting of the Commission was particularly interesting
due to very good speeches of the invited foreign and Polish
speakers. Representatives of Aalborg in Denmark described
their Senior Sport Project. The Network for the
European Youth Work in Sports was presented by its co-ordinator
from Frankfurt am Main, Germany. The possibilities of the
EU support while organizing sport events were described
by the UBC EU Co-ordinator. Speakers from the Polish Floorball
Federation in their speech Unihockey - Sport for Everyone
explained the idea of this universal sport to the participants.
During the meeting it was announced which
cities received grant from UBC for organising sport events.
On the occasion of the 10th Anniversary of the
UBC, Commission on Sport decided to award more grants this
year. Allocation of a greater number of grants will contribute
to broader promotion of the UBC.

- Vilnius (Lithuania) - IV International Vilnius Races
