SUFA IN SOPOT

The second workshop of SUFA Project was organised in Sopot 5-7 April. During the three wonderful spring-time days, 15 participants from the Baltic States, Poland, the UBC and ICLEI deepened their understanding on different aspects of local Agenda 21 projects.

The local organisers, Magda and Przemek Marchlewicz, had also provided the participants with interesting social program, including eg. a "high-speed walking tour" around the city and its surroundings. As the workshop coincited with the Commission on Sport meeting, the participants of these two events even enjoyed dinner together.

The last workshop will be organised in September in Haapsalu. The Research and Information activities of the project are also proceeding, and all UBC cities will soon receive interesting reading from the Com. on Environment (i. e., Human Resource and Good Practice Reviews on LA 21).

The SUFA Project has received co-funding from the European Commission DG Environment, Finnish Ministry of the Environment, and Nordic Minister Council. The project is a joint effort of the UBC, ICLEI and Abo Akademi University.
