UBC ENVIRONMENTAL AWARD 2001

The Best Environmental Practice in Baltic Cities Award will be organised for the second time this year. The first award, organised in 1999, was successful. It gathered 15 applications - most of them very high quality. On the basis of the award process, also the Best City Practices was created.

The intention of the award is to encourage member cities to develop their environmental administration and services in innovative ways for the good of the whole municipality and its citizens.

The award ceremony will take place during the General Conference in Rostock, 12-13 October. The award guidelines and brochure will be published by the Commission on Environment during May. All interested cities are warmly welcomed to participate!
