ADVENTURE WITH EUROPE

The School European Club was established in school-year 1998/1999. However, this year it has been at the peak of its activity.

The first Competition of Knowledge about European Union had been taken place on 19 September 2000. The club had organised it under the aegis of Chojnice's Mayor Mr Arseniusz Finster. The Club is going to organise the second edition of that competition on 10-11 September 2001.

Our members take part in various contests and achieve successes. For example: on February 2, 2001 in Cracow I was placed second in I^st All-Polish Competition of European Knowledge. It was organised by 'Foundation for European Integration - European House'. One of the prizes was a trip - 'VIII Eurorejs' - by track of European institutions. It was an unusual experience for me, because I could see how it all worked.

The Club takes care of all students and organises lectures on European integration for everyone who is interested in it. The lecturers are mostly members of the club. It's a really good fun for all of us.

We also organised a lecture of Mr Leszek Zygner who was talking about human rights. This lecturer teaches at Mikolaj Kopernik University in Torun.

We can do something together and change the world for better!!
