Investing in youth is investing in our common future and well-being. The saying: the youth are our future is more than just a slogan. The youth employment is a priority for the European Union, Member States and also for the regions and cities, which are in the forefront of confronting this acute societal problem - Per Bødker Andersen, President of UBC, says.
Union of the Baltic Cities established a Task Force on Youth Employment and Well-Being in 2013 to collect best-practices and highlight the challenges and solutions in the field. The Task Force´s final report called The Good, The Bad and The Next Practices is now published. The report sums up the results of the two year’s work of 27 experts from 15 member cities and six countries.
The report serves as a handbook for professionals and others interested in the topic. It presents concrete suggestions and raises questions to be solved in the future. This UBC Report is a valuable tool to combat youth unemployment and marginalization.
The report is available on ubc.net website online. If you wish to order printed report please contact the UBC Secretariat: info@ubc.net, +48 58 301 0917
