Tartu

BY BUS: Each day more than 40 express buses make the 2.5-hour trip from the capital, departing from Tallinn's bus station (bussijaam). The ride costs about 125-140kr. See www.bussireisid.ee.
BY CAR: Driving from Tallinn is fairly simple. Just head out of town on Tartu mnt. and once you get past the airport, it's a straight road all the way down.
BY PLANE: So far there are no international flights that arrive at Tartu's airport.
BY TRAIN: Trains to Tartu are scarce, with only four of them rolling in from Tallinn each day. Rides take either two hours. See www.edel.ee.
