Elva is located 25 km south of Tartu.The peaceful forests, refreshing waters of Lake Paisjärv, sandy beach at Lake Verevi, the River Elva, snowy tracks and numerous sporting facilities attract visitors to Elva all year round. In addition, a great variety of hiking trails is available in Elva and the surrounding. Detailed information on hiking can be obtained from the hiking center in the renovated train station. In a lounge there are an open gallery and a tourist information center with an interactive exposition that introduces history, sightseeing's and hiking trails of the area.
