Dear Friends of UBC,

The Municipality of Gavle, along with five other municipalities within the County of Gavleborg, has been granted a project (ESF) on health promotion leadership. We are now looking for partners for transnational co-operation within the framework of the approved project. We are looking for an exchange of knowledge and experiences through visiting one or two regions in Europe with similar developments. Learning environments such as job shadowing, workshops, etc. are considered valuable activities. The first target group for transnational exchange is the health promotion coordinators, fifteen persons in total. Their role is one of “change agents” in each municipality with focus on strategic health promotion planning. Their task will also be to support individual managers in utilizing and developing health promotion leadership.

Are you interested in and working with leadership development within this area in your organization/region? Would you be able to assist the project by receiving a group of participants of the project? The format of the transnational cooperation (workhops/exchange of experiences/job shadowing etc) will be determined together. There is no budget allocation for partners, but expenses in connection with the exchange activities will be taken care of by the project.

The project is named Health Promotion Leadership Gavleborg and is built on the Luxembourg Declaration on Workplace Health Promotion in the European Union. Participating municipalities, except Gavle, are Sandviken, Soderhamn, Bollnas, Hudiksvall and Nordanstig.
