Dear colleagues,

My name is Tamara Guirao and I am the CAAC coordinator. Please allow me to present you my organization. The Conference of Atlantic Arc Cities (CAAC) now federates 25 members that represent more than 100 local authorities and 7 million inhabitants of Europe’s Atlantic façade. Recently, with the signature in 2008 of the Charter of San Sebastian, the orientations of CAAC became focused on sustainable development, attractivity and cohesion. Its objective is to share in know-how and good practices, more particularly in the implementation of the aims of the San Sebastian Charter: setting an example in environmental excellence, supporting sustainable and innovative economic development, ensuring greater cohesion and social mix, supporting and exploiting the shared identity of the Atlantic cities and developing a more open, efficient and more ambitious cooperation.  CAAC collaborates in EU projects, both facilitating networking and partnerships or as dissemination agent.

We would like to know about your proposals for projects on urban topics, concerning the current calls of URBACT, INTELLIGENT ENERGY EUROPE, DAPHNE, EUROPE FOR CITIZENS, FP7, …

Our member Saint Nazaire is searching for partner cities under the URBACT call, priority 6 “Enhancing urban planning performance” for a project based on port and maritime issues.
