International Seminar on The Interpretation of Life Cycle Thinking in the Waste Management Hierarchy
Dear Sir/Madam,
We have the pleasure to invite you to participate in the International Experts Seminar on “The Interpretation of Life Cycle Thinking in the Waste Management Hierarchy” which will take place on 5 – 6 July 2011 in Brussels, Belgium, and will be complemented by study visits in Lille and Seneffe.
The Seminar is organised by ACR+ (Association of Cities and Regions for Recycling and Sustainable Resource Management) with the support of Holcim Company. It will gather a group of experts in order to clarify and discuss the interpretation of the EU waste hierarchy through Life Cycle Thinking, as foreseen in article 14, 2 of the Waste Framework Directive 2008/98, illustrated by concrete examples of waste management.
The seminar is divided in two parts:
5th July, afternoon: experts seminar, Brussels;
6th July: one day study visit to anaerobic digestion (Sequedin, Lille Metropole) and co-processing plants (Seneffe).
You will find further information in the programme, as well as on our website. The working language of the Seminar will be English. Please note that the participation in the seminar is limited. Please register without delay!
