Gdynia, 25-31 October 2015
As it is important to foster active youth involvement locally, it is also very important to teach youth of the wider definition of democracy. Especially in today’s world the topic of exclusion amongst youth is more relevant than ever. There are more and more young people excluded in many ways, also by one another.
This exchange sets a goal for better inclusion throughout the region.
At the conference the young people from the region should get a common understanding of the topics of equality, equity and peace. This project will give a greater perspective of social in- and exclusion (by origin, by religion, by sexual preference and so on), gender related and economical issues. During the exchange the participants will be provided with direct access to the politicians and civil servants from their own cities as well as other cities around northern Europe. This is a platform where the youth will express their concerns and give possible solutions.
Youth Conference which will be held parallely to the UBC General Conference in Gdynia. The project is financed by EU Erasmus+ program. Partners in the project are Kolding, Gävle, Turku, Liepaja, Riga and Gdynia, but participants from other cities are also welcome.
