The Central Baltic Sea Region’s maritime clusters are facing huge challenges caused by tightened environmental regulations, global competition, rising cost levels and lack of qualified workforce. Cooperation within the region is now more important than ever.

The two-day event is organised by the SmartComp – Smart Competitiveness for the Central Baltic Region project aiming to support smart and environmentally sustainable growth and cooperation of maritime clusters in the Central Baltic Region. The events provide a unique opportunity for public, business and academic actors to discuss these current issues in the maritime field.

Policy Development Roundtable, 12 February

The roundtable aims to strengthen the collaboration among triple helix actors and provide and generate opportunities to engage in developing integrated approaches to maritime policy in the Central Baltic Region. The event consists of expert presentations and a discussion session.

Seminar - the first SmartComp Consultation Day, 13 February

The seminar provides an opportunity for individual companies in the Central Baltic maritime cluster to network and, most importantly, pitch and brainstorm new and innovative ideas and find partners for cooperation.
