„A Sail where everything was just right!“

The mayor of the Hanseatic City of Rostock, Roland Methling, knows every Hanse Sail since 1991: “The 22^nd belongs to the best I have experienced so far. This was a Sail where everything worked out. Just like the weather which has caused a lot of inconveniences in the past with rain and fog. This year we could start the regattas, the Hajkutter as well as the traditional sailing ship one. The overall pictures in front of Warnemünde delighted the 25.000 participating sailors and the visitors on the moles and at the beach. The Sail has its reputation as a friendly, people connecting event solidified. More than one dozen national and international TV-teams made the pictures from off- and onshore as well as from the air accessible to millions of people.
