Dear Sir/Madam,

UBC cities have been invited to participate in the Eco-Region Final Conference “The Baltic Sea Region – on the way towards the world’s first EcoRegion? Past success stories, future challenges” in Gdynia, Poland on 16-17 November 2011.

Eco-region project is implemented within the flagship 8.4 "Make the Baltic Sea an Eco-efficient region" of the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region. It is one of flagship projects chosen by the UBC Executive Board.

The conference is held under the auspices of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety of Germany, which is currently holding the chair of the CBSS Baltic 21.
