This year’s edition of Umeå Open is a part of Grand Slam 2014, a project that aims to establish Umeå as one of the world’s leading and most vibrant music capitals. The festival is one of Sweden’s largest indoor rock festivals and a popular meeting point for music lovers throughout the north of Sweden. Grand Slam, which includes Umeå Open and Pop Up, is arranged by Humlan, a non-profit cultural organisation in Umeå.
