European Night of Museums is celebrated every year in many European cities. The idea is to allow the visitors come to museums, galleries and other institutions related to the culture and organization of special accompanying events for free or for a nominal fee in the evening and at night-time. In Poland, the Night of Museums takes place every year on the weekend around May 18, this is the day we have celebrated the International Museum Day since 1977.
