Among the newest traditions of the city is the nightly parade of ships arranged on the last Saturday of May to mark the beginning of summer sailing season. Organized for the fourth time this year it is becoming one of the most attractive landmarks of the city cultural life.. Not just yachts and entertainment ships, but all types of vessels, decorated with festive lighting decorations and torches participate. The evening parade and the final fire works are the climax of the festivity, but the whole day is full of interesting maritime events, day sailings, concerts and fairs. Most kindly invited are yachts from all Baltic Sea cities.
