Rostock’s historic city centre shines in a blaze of lights. The largest Christmas market in the north of Germany invites visitors for a stroll from Neuer Markt to Kröpeliner Tor and down to the city harbour. Whether it’s a culinary experience with hot mulled wine, Christmas biscuits and Rostock smoked sausages, or whether it’s devotional amusements or a funny Christmas program for kids. Waiting for visitors are presents for under the tree, but also roundabouts, a huge Ferris wheel plus live music.
